Who can participate in the WMWC Athens 2026?
All Masters weightlifters (including Adaptive) who are 35 or older by 31 December 2026 and have achieved the qualification totals.
How do I register?
International athletes register via the IMWA registration page using an access code from their National Masters Chair. Greek athletes must pay their entry fee to the organizing club and complete the “Greek Athletes Registration Form.
Is the entry fee refundable?
No, all entry fees are non-refundable.
How can I pay for extras (T-shirt, Closing Banquet)?
Payments are made by bank transfer to the organizing club. Full details are in the “Extras / Payment Information” section.
When will the final competition schedule and start lists be published?
Preliminary versions will be available after registrations close, with final updates closer to the event.
Where is the venue?
Faliro Olympic Complex - Poseidonos Avenue 860, P.C. 175 61.
How do I get there?
By car: Easily accessible via Poseidonos Avenue (Leoforos Poseidonos) and Syngrou Avenue. Parking areas are available around the complex.
By tram/metro: The Tram Line T6 (Stop “Delta Falirou”) and several bus lines connect directly to the venue from the city centre and Syntagma.
By taxi: Direct access from central Athens. Average travel time is 10–15 minutes without traffic, or up to 20–25 minutes during peak hours.
