Hellenic Weightlifting Federation
The Hellenic Weightlifting Federation is the official governing body for the sport of Olympic weightlifting in Greece.
Established in 1975, it operates under the supervision of the General Secretariat of Sports and represents Greece in all international weightlifting organizations and events.
The Federation is a full member of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) and the European Weightlifting Federation (EWF), with a long and distinguished history of producing Olympic and World Champions.
The 2026 World Masters Weightlifting Championships are held under the auspices of the Hellenic Weightlifting Federation, affirming the official and institutional recognition of the event in Greece.
