Taekwondo Faliro Olympic Center

The Taekwondo Faliro Olympic Center will host the 2026 World Masters Weightlifting Championships.

Located on the Athens Riviera, in Palaio Faliro, just 8 km from the city centre, the venue stands within the Faliro Olympic Complex

(Poseidonos Avenue 860, P.C. 175 61).

Originally built for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, the Center offers modern and spacious facilities, including:

a main arena with seating capacity for approximately 3,800 spectators,
auxiliary halls for warm-up and training,
athlete changing rooms, offices, and media areas.

Its seaside location, modern amenities, and easy access make it an ideal venue for hosting international weightlifting events of this scale.

Access

By car: Easily accessible via Poseidonos Avenue (Leoforos Poseidonos) and Syngrou Avenue. Parking areas are available around the complex.
By tram/metro: The Tram Line T6 (Stop “Delta Falirou”) and several bus lines connect directly to the venue from the city centre and Syntagma.
By taxi: Direct access from central Athens. Average travel time is 10–15 minutes without traffic, or up to 20–25 minutes during peak hours.

Healthy Snack & Coffee Corner – in collaboration with Xirokarpadiko.gr

A specially designed Healthy Snack & Coffee Corner will be available inside the competition venue, in collaboration with Xirokarpadiko.gr.

Athletes and visitors will enjoy handmade, natural, and sugar-free products, along with fresh salads, coffee, and traditional Greek flavors.

During the 2026 World Masters Weightlifting Championships, athletes, officials, and visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy healthy, handmade, and freshly prepared products at the specially designed Food & Beverage area inside the venue.

In collaboration with Xirokarpadiko.gr, a Greek brand known for its natural and high-quality products, the following will be available:

🍫 protein bars, vegan treats, and cookies
🍌 dried fruits & unsalted nuts
🥗 fresh salads and cold sandwiches
🍢 traditional Greek souvlaki

All Xirokarpadiko.gr products are handmade, crafted with pure, natural ingredients, and focused on balanced, healthy nutrition.

Visitors can also place on-site orders to purchase larger quantities or products they wish to take with them — such as nut butters, protein bars, or snacks — which will be delivered directly to the competition venue for convenient pick-up.

The area includes both indoor and outdoor seating, providing a comfortable and pleasant environment for all participants and guests.
