Important information
Athletes must first contact their National Masters Chair in order to:
Pay the entry fee to their National Masters Chair
Receive their personal Access Code
After receiving the Access Code, athletes must complete their registration individually via the IMWA registration website, by clicking “Register Now” and entering the Access Code.

Qualifying period
4 September 2025 – 12 July 2026 (midnight CET)
Any official Masters competition, national or international, held within the qualifying period is valid.

IMWA 2026 Update – New Bodyweight Categories
From 1 August 2026, the IMWA will apply the new IWF bodyweight categories at the World Masters (Adaptive) Weightlifting Championships in Athens.
Athletes who compete during the qualifying period in official competitions held under the previous bodyweight categories may still qualify.
Qualification is based on the athlete’s actual weigh-in bodyweight, which is matched to the corresponding new bodyweight category, provided the required qualifying total is achieved.
No athlete will be disadvantaged due to the transition to the new bodyweight categories.
